Elite Movers has over the years undertaken
many projects to move and relocate IT infrastructure and ICT equipment for Singapore

Movers have the capability to power down the components within a IT environment
disassemble Servers, UPS, SAN and DAS Storage Arrays with RAID technologies, Firewalls,
Tape Drives, Routers, KVM’s, Appliances, Switches by Cisco, 3Com and others and rack
monitoring systems. After removing these items from racks or other assemblies, pack and
transport and then completely reassemble and power up. Other customized services had been
supplied for specific requirements by negotiation.
We have moved large installations of IBM, HP, DELL, SUN.

I2R Data Center from Kent Ridge at NUS to Fusionopolis - July 2008
After thirty years in their facility at NUS Kent Ridge, the Institute for Infocomm Research known locally as I2R relocated their Offices, Data Center and Network Infrastructure to the new building on Ayer Rajah Avenue called Fusionopolis. After so many years the Institute of Infocomm decide to take the opportunity to install new racks, new cabling, rationalise computer systems and dispose of equipment that was no longer required. More than 300 computer systems were in the scope for the relocation.
Key to Elite undertaking such a complex relocation was the labeling of each piece of equipment for its new rack location, labeling the cables for the new installation and the testing of the network at the Fusionopolis data center before the move was started. Inclusive was insurance for physical damage.
The move required that all Dell, Sun, Hewlett Packard, Compaq Proliant, IBM, - Computer Servers, Appliances, KVM Switches, Tape Autoloaders, SAN Storage, Firewalls, Cisco Routers and Catalyst Switches, Brocade switches in the Data Center and network equipment rooms be powered down removed from the existing racks, packed, transported and re-racked in new racks at Fusionopolis. The work was started at mid day on Friday and all equipment had been cleared by 9pm in the evening and the critical server’s re- racked. The servers, switches, tape libraries and storage systems that were lower priority were installed over the Saturday and Sunday. All systems came up on time.
Further work was undertaken for I2R at the Science Park office, equipment was moved to Fusionopolis to be reused or to be disposed. Special Equipment like Chubb fire proof safes, tape storage cabinets and APC UPS systems where also include in the scope of work.
